West London Youth Careers Summit: Collaborating Across Sectors to Reduce Youth Unemployment 

On 14th November 2024, more than 250 passionate people from across sectors came together for the West London Youth Careers Summit and what a day it was! The summit created a powerful space for collaboration, discussion, and action, all with a united mission: to find tangible solutions to the youth employment crisis. 

The event was co-hosted by Youth Careers Collective, West London Business, West London Alliance, and the West London Careers Hub. Together, these partners convened employers, educators, policymakers, and youth organisations to focus on practical ways to reduce youth unemployment and boost productivity and growth across West London. 

While the day itself was a celebration of energy, ideas, and commitment, it also marked the start of something bigger. Following the summit, the next steps focused on bringing together all the content and inputs from the day to begin drafting a West London Youth Employment Roadmap. A series of further strategic discussion forums were also scheduled to agree on the direction and the concrete steps needed from each sector to turn ideas into action. 

The success of the summit highlighted not only the scale of the challenge but also the determination across West London to work collectively towards change. It was an inspiring reminder that by uniting diverse perspectives and resources, we can create real opportunities for young people and a stronger future for the region.
