Youth Careers Collective
Schools and Colleges

In 2024/25 we partnered with 70 schools and colleges, to engage and support young people through meaningful employer engagement opportunities, employability skills development and high-quality work place experiences.  Only in partnership with these brilliant institutions are we able deliver our impactful programmes and services, aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks and Equalex Framework.

Youth Careers Collective coordinates a range activities that bring together the local business community, educational organisations and young people.  We are working with a growing number of schools and colleges to develop bespoke programmes and approaches to meet their unique needs and challenges.

Our range of programmes are developed in conjunction with our schools, business and community partners, across three key services areas, helping education institutions deliver a robust career strategy and meet the Gatsby Benchmarks and Equalex Framework.

  • Employability skills and career workshops, including a range or opportunities designed to respond to the needs of students and curriculum gaps, including interview skills and mock interview sessions, speed networking with diverse employers, employability skills workshops, and Labour Market Information and pathways into work.
  • Workplace experience opportunities, includes our brilliant industry insight programme – ‘Kickstart Express’ and our high-quality work experience programme – ‘The Way to Work’,  incorporating preparatory workshops, sourced and supported placements, a range of accessible resources and an post-placements reflection workshop.
  • Career mentoring programmes, connect students with career professionals, for a one-to-one or small group relationship, in which students learn how to set and achieve goals, develop real-world employability skills, and prepare for the world of work with a quality CV and interview skills.
